PageKiwiFair use
PageKiwi is free, with no ads and no tracking. It's one person's side project, so a few simple limits keep it free for everyone and polite to other people's websites.
The limits
| What | Free |
|---|---|
| Checks of a website | 10 a day, shared across every tool that checks a website: Full Check, Link Check, Picture Check, Facts Check, Accessibility Check, Site health, Email check, the preview, Screen sizes and the Alt text writer. Each button press is one. |
| Inside each check | Up to 10 things: 10 links (the page's own content first), 10 pictures, or 10 pages. Full Check is one check and looks at up to 10 of each. |
| Checks of any one website | 30 a day, from everyone together, so no site gets more visits from us than it should. It covers Full Check, Link Check, Picture Check, Facts Check, Accessibility Check, Site health and the preview. |
| Checks by everyone | 200 a day in all, across every visitor. On a busy day, we offer to email you the report the next morning. |
| Whole-site Link Check | 1 a day, up to 10 pages, emailed to you. |
| Site Watch | Up to 3 sites per email address, checked every night. |
| Share links | 10 a day, from My setup and the Chrome extension's "Send it to your web person" together. |
| Tools on your own computer | No limit. QR code, Color check, Readability, Shrink a photo, Favicon maker, Email signature and My setup run in your browser and cost us nothing. |
| The Chrome extension | No limit. Its checks run on your computer. |
Days end at 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. in winter).
Why
- Other people's websites
Every check visits a real website. We visit one page a second and follow each site's robots.txt, so we shouldn't slow anyone's site down.
- Claude costs money
Matching pictures to their words and writing alt text use Claude, Anthropic's AI, and every picture it looks at costs us money. Claude looks at 50 pictures a day for everyone; after that, those parts rest until tomorrow and everything else carries on.
- Keeping it free
No ads and no tracking means no hidden way of paying for it. Limits are the honest alternative.
On a busy day
If everyone together uses up PageKiwi's checks for the day, we'll tell you when you press the button, and offer to email you the report first thing the next morning. Your email address is kept only until we've sent it.
