Refresh a page properly
- Windows or Linux Ctrl + Shift + R
- Mac ⌘ + Shift + R
- Safari on a Mac ⌘ + Option + R
Not sure what you're using? My setup tells you.
An ordinary refresh can show you the copy of the page your browser saved last time. A proper refresh fetches every part of it again, so you see what's on the website now.
Windows or Linux (Chrome, Edge, Firefox)
- Click anywhere on the page.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + R. Ctrl + F5 does the same.
Mac
- In Chrome, Edge or Firefox, press ⌘ + Shift + R.
- In Safari, press ⌘ + Option + R.
iPhone or iPad
Phones have no proper-refresh shortcut, so close the page and open it again.
- Tap the tabs button (two squares) and close the page's tab.
- Open the page again from a new tab.
- Still wrong? Clear Safari's cache.
Android
- In Chrome, tap ⋮ (top right), then the reload arrow.
- Still wrong? Close the tab, open the page again, or clear Chrome's cache.
If that didn't work
- Clear your cache.
- Try the page in a different browser. If it works there, the problem is in your browser, not the website.
- Send whoever's helping you your My setup link.
