Clear your cache

  • Windows or Linux Ctrl + Shift + Delete
  • Mac ⌘ + Shift + Delete

Then check only Cached images and files, and clear it.

Not sure which browser you have? My setup tells you.

Your browser keeps copies of pictures and pages so sites load faster. When a site changes, an old copy can make it look broken. Clearing the cache throws those copies away. It doesn't delete your passwords, bookmarks or history, as long as you check only the cache.

Uncheck everything except the cache. The wording differs a little between browsers.

Chrome on a computer (Windows, Mac, Linux)

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Mac: ⌘ + Shift + Delete). Or click ⋮ › Delete browsing data.
  2. Set Time range to All time.
  3. Check only Cached images and files.
  4. Click Delete data.

Edge on a computer

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Mac: ⌘ + Shift + Delete).
  2. Set Time range to All time.
  3. Check only Cached images and files.
  4. Click Clear now.

Firefox on a computer (Windows, Mac, Linux)

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Mac: ⌘ + Shift + Delete).
  2. Choose Everything as the time range.
  3. Check only Temporary cached files and pages.
  4. Click Clear.

Safari on a Mac

  1. Click Safari › Settings › Advanced, and check Show features for web developers.
  2. Click Develop in the menu bar › Empty Caches. Next time, ⌘ + Option + E does it in one go.

iPhone or iPad (Safari)

This keeps your history, but signs you out of websites.

  1. Open Settings › Apps › Safari › Advanced › Website Data.
  2. Tap Remove All Website Data, then Remove Now.

Android (Chrome)

  1. In Chrome, tap ⋮ › Delete browsing data.
  2. Tap More options, and set the time range to All time.
  3. Check only Cached images and files.
  4. Tap Delete data.

If that didn't work

  1. Close the browser completely and open it again.
  2. Try the page in a different browser.
  3. Send whoever's helping you your My setup link.
