Picture Check

Paste a page's address. We check up to 10 pictures on it, make smaller copies of the heaviest, and spot photos that don't match their words.

10 free checks a day

Try it on Wrenfield's shop, a sample website we break on purpose.

What it finds

  • Doesn't match

A photo that contradicts its words: "Navy hoodie" showing a pink one. Claude, Anthropic's AI, looks at up to 6 pictures a page.

  • Heavy photo

Pictures far bigger than the page needs. You get web-sized copies of the 4 heaviest, ready to upload.

  • Missing picture

Pictures that don't load, so visitors see a blank space.

  • No description

Pictures without alt text, or with a file name for one, which leaves screen reader users guessing.

  • Placeholder

"Image coming soon" pictures that were never replaced.

Try it on Wrenfield's shop, which we break on purpose. Claude's answer for each picture is remembered, so the same picture isn't sent twice. We keep small copies of problem pictures to show in your report, and the smaller versions we make for you, for 90 days, then delete them.

Pictures without descriptions shut out people who use screen readers, and they're among the first things accessibility checks look for. Website accessibility: where to start, with the tools that help and what the law asks.

How to use it

  1. Type or paste your website's address, like YourWebsite.com. Any page works: copy it from the bar at the top of your browser.
  2. Press the button and leave the page open. It takes about a minute; the bar shows how far it's got.
  3. Your report opens by itself. The worst problems are at the top.
  4. Send the report's link to whoever fixes your site. They see exactly what you see, for 90 days.
  5. Once they've fixed things, check again to make sure.

What your results mean

Problem
What kind of fault it is. Every problem name, explained.
Where
The link, picture or words it's about, and where on the page (the menu, the footer, the page itself).
What to tell your web person
The fix, in words you can copy into an email. If you edit the site yourself, it's your to-do list.
Nothing to fix
We didn't find anything in what we checked. It doesn't promise the whole site is perfect: we check one page and up to 10 pictures on it.
Smaller copies
For heavy photos, the report has web-sized copies to save and upload in place of the originals.
Doesn't match
Claude, Anthropic's AI, thinks the photo contradicts its words. It can be wrong: look at the picture yourself.
