Free website monitoring, once a night
Updated Oct 8, 2026
Site Watch checks your site once a night and emails you only when something changes.
What we check every night
Quiet nights, no email.
- Your home page's links
New dead links, links that land on "not found", broken phone and email links. And the ones you've fixed.
- The padlock
When your security certificate is within 14 days of running out, or has broken.
- Your domain name
When it's within 60 days of running out, where the registry publishes the date.
- Up or down
If your site doesn't load.
We look once a night, so a site that's down for an hour at lunchtime can slip past: for checks every few minutes you'd need an uptime monitor. Free for up to 3 sites per email address. We send a confirmation link first, and every email has a link to stop them. We keep your email and website only while you're signed up.
How to use it
- Type your website and your email, and press Watch my site.
- Open the email we send and click the link to confirm. Nothing happens until you do.
- That's it. We check every night and only email when something changes. Every email has a link to stop.
When to use it
- You don't have time to check your site yourself.
- Right after you launch, move hosts or hand the site to a new web person.
- A certificate or domain has run out on you before.
- You look after a site for someone else, like a club or a relative.
Why it matters
- Most problems don't announce themselves. You find out when a customer mentions it, weeks later.
- A warning 14 days before the padlock runs out, or 60 before the domain does, gives you time to sort it calmly.
- We email only when something changes, so the emails don't become noise you ignore.
